Chelsea Linked With £25.5m Move for AC Milan Striker

Ac Milan are ready to offer Alexandre Pato to Manchester City to convince them to part with Mario Balotelli.
Milan know City won’t be tempted by any type of cash offer for Balotelli, but could be persuaded by including Pato in their offer, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mino Raiola, Balotelli’s agent, who brokered the City deal last summer, also has links with Pato, meaning an agreement would not be hard to reach should interest grow.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti will also be keen should Pato become available.
Indeed, it’s mooted if Roberto Mancini didn’t see Pato as a necessity, Milan would offer him to Chelsea, raise €30million, and then head back to Manchester to make a fresh bid for Balotelli. (Tribalfootball)
This is one of those transfer rumours that relies on a, b and c occurring before the speculation can even get airborne, however that said Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to bring in youthful replacements for his ageing strike force and clearly he knows the Ac Milan star very well and Roman Abramovich is ready to hand the Italian a large transfer fund injection but a move in the summer would be more likely than in January for a multitude of reasons, but most predominantly the issue of Alexandre Pato being cup tied for Champions League action makes him of less use to the Chelsea boss this month.
AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri was using the Brazilian as part of a three pronged attack with Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the young striker has spent parts of the season out with injury and perhaps the pull of reuniting with his former boss at Chelsea would appeal to him because a move to Man City would appear less likely given just how many attacking options the Eastlands side now have.
