Barca See Off Racing, Sevilla Cruise

After a surprise defeat to Real Betis in the Copa del Rey this week, Barca returned to winning ways in convincing fashion as Pedro opened the scoring after barely a minute of play.

Lionel Messi then doubled the hosts' advantage from the penalty spot before Andres Iniesta rounded off a fine piece of play to seal the victory. It marked Barca's 14th consecutive victory in the league and Pep Guardiola's men have taken 55 points from a possible 60 in the league this season.

Valencia secured a last-gasp 4-3 victory against nine-man Malaga in a thrilling encounter.

Luis Fabiano scored a hat-trick as Sevilla continued their improved form with a convincing 4-1 victory over struggling Levante at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Two goals from Luis Fabiano and another from Julien Escude put Sevilla 3-0 up by half-time and, although Levante pulled a goal back through Xisco Munoz in the 58th minute, Luis Fabiano competed his treble ten minutes later to wrap up the scoring.
