Almeria await in semi finals
Almeria have won 3-2 against Deportivo at Riazor and 4-2 on aggregate to go into the semi finals of the Copa del Rey, where the side coached by José Luis Oltra will meet FC Barcelona, with the first leg at the Camp Nou.
The hope didn’t last long in La Coruña. The fans were expecting to see their side turn around the 1-0 deficit from the first leg, but two goals in two minutes from Corona and Crusat put Almeria well in command.

Comeback thwarted
A Pablo Álvarez penalty just before half time and an Adrián just after made it 2-2 on the night and a comeback was on the cards. But Depor still needed two goals to qualify, and their hopes were once again dealt a cruel blow when Goitom slotted home from the spot to make it 3-2.

8-0 victims
Almeria and Barça have already met once this season, on a famous night when Barça equalled their biggest ever away win. Goals from Messi (3), Iniesta, Pedro, Bojan (2) and an Acasiete own goal made it 8-0 to the Catalans. But the cup semi finals promise to be a very different story.
